Ahead of tomorrow’s appeal in a Moscow City Court, Congressman August Pfluger and Lead Republican of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul released the following statement calling on the Kremlin to release Texas native Trevor Reed immediately. Last year, Lead Republican McCaul and former Rep. Mike Conaway led a resolution that passed the House condemning Trevor’s wrongful imprisonment in Russia.

“Texas native and former Marine Trevor Reed has been wrongfully detained in Russia on fabricated charges for 537 days. Tomorrow, a Moscow City Court will hear Trevor’s appeal. Congress will be watching and urges the Putin regime to end this outrageous sham and release Trevor immediately so he can return home to his family.”
