Central and West Texas Flood Resource Page

Overview

  • Storms continue to cause risks of heavy rainfall and flash flooding across large portions of the state. Texans are urged to monitor local forecast information.
  • Widespread flooding impacted portions of the Concho Valley, Hill Country, and Central Texas regions beginning July 2.
  • Texans who sustained damage caused by rain and flooding are encouraged to report damage through the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT).
  • More details about the resources available through the federal disaster declaration, including information about eligible counties, can be found at: fema.gov/disaster/4879
  • Qualifying Texans can register for disaster assistance by calling 1-800-621-3362 or by visiting disasterassistance.gov.

FEMA and SNAP Support

  • The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has approved SNAP waivers for Texas. This includes critical fencing repair for our farmers and ranchers who had property damage from the floods. In the days ahead, documenting your losses and keeping detailed records will be essential to qualify for any disaster relief—whether from state, federal, local, or insurance sources.   • President Trump has added the following counties in TX-11 to his Major Disaster Declaration for support from FEMA 
    • For Individual Assistance and Public Assistance: San Saba and Tom Green Counties 
    • For Public Assistance: Coke, Concho, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, and Menard
  • A Disaster Recovery Center opened in San Angelo on July 15th and in San Saba on July 19th to offer face-to-face help to survivors ho had damage or losses from the severe storms and flooding in Texas. 
    • San Angelo Location

      • Hours: noon to 6 pm CT Monday to Friday
    • San Saba Location
      • Location: 1190 S Thomas Stewart Drive San Saba, TX 76877
      • Hours: 8 am to 7 pm daily
