Israel has been brutally attacked by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists. The images and videos surfacing from the attacks are heartbreaking and gruesome. Innocent civilians have been dragged out of their homes and babies beheaded in several mass killings. Over 1,200 people have been killed, including 27 Americans, and many taken as hostages.
Over the past week, the radical ideology that fuels hate toward Israel has been widespread across the United States, from college campuses to Times Square in New York City. We must take a stand against this form of antisemitism and stop the Iranian regime's aggressive malign influence across the globe.
In July, I introduced a resolution stating that Israel is not a racist or apartheid state and that Congress affirms our support of their freedom. It passed the House overwhelming with only members of “The Squad” voting nay.
The Biden Administration has for far too long ignored the threats in the Middle East and malign actors who wish to wipe Israel off the map.
I will continue to be an ardent supporter of Israel and will work diligently with my colleagues to give them the support they need to rightly defend themselves.
Defunding Terrorism in the Middle East
I led over 100 of my colleagues in introducing a bill to block Iran from accessing $6 billion in funds the Biden Administration unfroze on September 11, 2023. Iran is the largest state-sponsor of terrorism and these funds will be used to backfill the money that is funneled to Hamas' network. We should not be in the business of funding our adversaries. Read more about the bill in Fox Newshereor below.
