Pfluger Statement on the Twitter Files

WASHINGTON, DC – Friday, information was released from the “Twitter Files” detailing censorship of information on Twitter based on requests from political campaign members. High-profile stories were censored, including the New York Post bombshell revelation exposing Hunter Biden’s laptop and its contents in the lead-up to the 2020 election. In response, Rep. August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement:

“Individuals in the government, political campaign hacks, and liberal tech employees do not get to decide what is true and false. The Twitter Files are further proof that the Hunter Biden laptop story was censored at the request of the Biden campaign in the final days leading up to the election. The right to free and uncensored speech is non-negotiable. What was disinformation yesterday has become reality today. Republicans will demand responsibility.”

Rep. August Pfluger (TX-11) sent Elon Musk a letter on Monday asking that he report to Congress any attempts the Biden Administration has made to censor critical information from the American public.
