WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thursday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined the Texas Republican delegation in unveiling its border security plan – a Commitment to Secure the Border – for the 118th Congress.

Rep. August Pfluger: “In Texas, we understand better than anyone the social and economic burden of the open southern border. Today, my fellow Texas Republicans and I unveiled our plan to secure our southern border. Each one of us has been to the border more times in the past year than President Biden has in 47 years. We know what it will take to secure the border and protect our border patrol. We are ready to use every tool and authority necessary until our country is secure. I am proud to join the Texas Delegation as we get our country back on track.”

House Republicans have made a Commitment to America to secure the southern border as part of the new majority’s priority to create “ a nation that’s safe.” The delegation’s agenda is a framework by Texans for Texas, which includes four priority areas:

•                Complete physical border infrastructure

•                Fix border enforcement policies

•                Enforce our laws in the interior

•                Target cartels & criminal organizations
