Washington, D.C. — Thursday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement following the Senate consideration of a bill to legalize abortion on demand until birth nationwide:

“This week, 49 Senate Democrats voted to legalize abortions up until birth nationwide. This means America would be one of only a few countries in the world, including North Korea and communist China, that allow abortions up until the preborn child is nine months old. It is extremely disturbing that every Democrat except one would support such a radical, extreme stance.

“Since Roe v. Wade was decided nearly 50 years ago, over 62 million pre-born babies have been tragically aborted. It is time to end this scourge and protect life at every stage.”
