Thursday morning, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Trevor Reed’s parents Paula and Joey Reed on Fox News with Bill Hemmer to bring awareness to Trevor’s unfounded detainment in Russia and call for his immediate release.

Trevor is a Granbury resident and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who was sentenced to 9 years in a Russian prison under false allegations.

Yesterday, Congressman Pfluger, Ranking Member McCaul, and Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy introduced a resolution with bipartisan support calling for the Putin Regime to immediately release Trevor.

During the segment, Congressman Pfluger said, “It is 566 days that Trevor has been held falsely as a political pawn. This week I introduced a resolution with 25 Members of Congress—Senator Cornyn has also done so in the Senate—and we are demanding an immediate release so he can unify with his parents. They are using him as a political pawn in a false trial that has no merit, and we want him back.”
