In a Tuesday statement, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) blasted President Biden’s decision to release 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR):

Rep. August Pfluger: “President Biden’s announcement to release barrels from the SPR is a short-sighted decision that will ultimately lead to higher prices at the pump for everyday Americans next spring and summer. This administration should be encouraging American energy production, not giving more leverage to OPEC and Russia.”
