House Foreign Affairs Committee Member August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Lead Republican Michael McCaul and other Republican members in sending a letter to hold the Biden Administration accountable for their failure to support U.S. private sector investment in Central and Eastern Europe in the face of Russian aggression. Rep. August Pfluger (TX-11): “Energy security is national security, and nothing is more important. We are currently witnessing Putin weaponize energy in real time against our allies and partners. It is imperative the Biden Administration follow through on the commitments made by President Trump to bolster the energy security of allies and counter Russian aggression. President Trump already laid the groundwork to export American LNG to our Eastern European allies and loosen Vladimir Putin’s stranglehold over the region. I am pushing President Biden to put Midland over Moscow and empower American energy producers and our allies.” The full text of the letter can be found here. |
