Welcome to the first edition of the TX-11 Roundup, a collection of good news stories and big moments from across our great district, focused entirely on the outstanding work being done by the men and women who call this place home.
While I always make it a priority to attend and host events in the district, my responsibilities in Washington don't always allow me to be there in person. That's why I am so thankful for my district team, who are always on the ground, attending events, connecting with constituents, and supporting the incredible work happening in our communities. In addition to my own work back home to kick off 2026, my team also welcomed high-level officials to our region, honored local leaders, celebrated a new VA clinic, and much more. I've included some photos and highlights from a few of the events my team attended.
I am launching the TX-11 Roundup to highlight the impact our residents and my district team are making in and for our community every single day. The TX-11 Roundup will showcase what everyone already knows: This district is the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

High-Level Officials Visit Goodfellow Air Force Base: My team was honored to attend and represent our office as the City of San Angelo and Goodfellow Air Force Base welcomed U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ken Wilsbach and Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force David Wolfe in March. Gen. Wilsbach and CMSgt Wolfe gave an all-call briefing, where Airmen had the incredible opportunity to hear directly from senior Air Force leadership. During the session, they highlighted the strategic importance of the 17th Training Wing’s mission and its critical role in ensuring readiness. Aim High...Fly-Fight-Win!
State of Oil and Gas: In January, a member of my team attended the Midland Chamber of Commerce's State of Oil and Gas luncheon, presented by ConocoPhillips. Events like this are invaluable for business leaders, providing insight andopportunities forcollaborationthatthey can use to make informed business decisions, whetherthey aredirectly or indirectly impacted by the oil and gas industry. Nick Olds, the Executive Vice President for Lower 48 & Global HSE at ConocoPhillips, delivered the keynote speech, drawing from his over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
New VA Clinic: In February, several members from my team attended the announcement ceremony of a brand new VA clinic that I proudly worked with Representative Judge Carter on to bring to Copperas Cove. After our men and women in uniform complete their service, we must continue to serve them as veterans. This region is the center of Texas military might, and it’s time we match that need. This new VA clinic offers our local veterans quicker access to quality care, making ita major win for the entire region.
Judge Cunningham's Retirement: A member of my team attended Llano County Judge Ron Cunningham's final Commissioners Court on March 9th, where they presented him with a flag we had flown over the United States Capitol to thank him for his more than seven years of service to the citizens of Llano County. While he is leaving the Llano County government, he will play an active role in our community as County Resource Officer for the Texas Association of Counties in Central and West Texas. Congratulations again, Judge Cunningham!
Town Center Boardwalk: In March, the City of Early marked the completion of its new Town Center Boardwalk with a lively celebration that included a 5K run, a Major League Fishing Tournament, live music, fireworks, and a drone show that a member of my team attended. This long-anticipated community asset is set to benefit both residents and visitors for many years to come. (Picture attributed to BrownwoodNews.Com)
SheCan Conference: The 5thannual SheCan conference had a record-breaking turnout, and a member of my team was honored to attend in March. The focused theme was “Building Today for a Better Tomorrow.” Keynote Speaker Nancy Kerrigan gave an inspirational commentary as she shared her journey to winning the silver medal at the 1994 Olympics. The 2026 honoree, Mari Spivey Willis, a former councilwoman, educator, and volunteer, discussed her path to becoming one of Odessa's most recognized and beloved Citizens.
Oilfield Theft Roundtable: In January, my team also attended the Oilfield Theft Roundtable to discuss solutions, as theft has surged into the billions in the Permian Basin in the last few years, with an estimated 500 barrels of oil stolen weekly. Matt Coday, founder of the O&G Workers Association, collaborated with several Sheriffs from the Permian Basin and New Mexico to make this critical roundtable discussion possible. Representative Landgraf,Senator Sparks, RRC Chair Wright, and owners of local Oil and Gas companies were also present. At the event, participants discussed coordinating communication between federal, state, and local agencies to assist law enforcement with streamlined responses.
