Hey, TX-11, this is Congressman August Pfluger.
Tax season is officially here, and I want to make sure you’re aware of the key provisions that will put more money back in your pockets thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts.
For starters, we prevented the largest tax hike in U.S. history. Without this legislation, taxpayers here in TX-11 would have faced a 26% tax increase.
We also delivered major relief for seniors. This year, 88% of all seniors who receive Social Security will pay NO TAX on their Social Security benefits.
For new and expecting parents, I encourage you to open a Trump Account for your child. This account includes a $1,000 deposit from the Treasury Department and will set your child up for financial success. Just be sure to fill out IRS Form 4547 to claim this opportunity.
Families will also benefit from the expanding Child Tax Credit and Adoption Tax Credit, providing even more support for raising and growing your family.
If you earn tips or overtime pay, that income is now TAX-FREE!
And for small business owners, we made the 199A small business deductions permanent at 20%and broadened additional small business tax breaks to help you grow and succeed.
There is all of this and MORE thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts.
