ICYMI: Pfluger Votes to Secure American Elections

WASHINGTON, DC In Case You Missed It (ICYMI): As reported in the Concho Valley Homepage, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) voted to pass S. 1383, the SAVE America Act, and secure U.S. elections. Only Americans should be able to vote in American elections, plain and simple. Following the vote, he recorded a video on the House steps detailing the importance of this legislation.

Watch the full video on X HERE or read what he said in it below:

"Hey, Texas-11. This is Congressman Pfluger. I want you to know that I just voted to pass the SAVE America Act. It does a couple of things that are common sense. Number one, it requires you to register to vote and to prove your citizenship, and then when you go and vote, it requires you to provide a government-issued ID. This is common sense. We need the Senate to pass this now. Most Americans, to the tune of 85%, agree that we should have election integrity."

The SAVE America Act is led by Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) in the House and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) in the Senate. It is an enhanced version of the popular SAVE Act, which the House passed nearly 300 days ago, and has been stalled in the Senate since. This enhanced version would protect and preserve the right of American citizens to vote by:

·     Requiring individuals to present an eligible photo identification document before voting. (NEW provision)

·     Requiring states to obtain proof of citizenship – in person – when registering an individual to vote. (From original SAVE Act)

Requiring states to remove non-citizens from existing voter rolls. (From original SAVE Act)
