LLANO, TX—Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) hosted a community town hall in Llano, where he met with local residents to provide updates on his work in Washington, discuss the ongoing Democrat government shutdown, and answer questions from constituents.
During the event, Congressman Pfluger recognized the Llano Yellow Jacket Marching Band for earning three superior ratings at the UIL Region 32 Marching Band Contest with their show entitled, "Enchanted." Band Director Kevin Jordan, Assistant Directors Bradley Jones and Samantha Otto, and Drum Majors Julie Lee, Aubrey Gosdin, and Matthew Martin were all in attendance to receive recognition for their award-winning performance.
“It was great to be back in Llano hosting a community town hall,” said Congressman August Pfluger. “I’m grateful to everyone who came out to share their thoughts and ideas. I was incredibly impressed by the civil discussion focused on finding real solutions and mutual understanding on several key issues. The message from Texans was clear: it’s time to end the political games and reopen the government. While Democrats continue to hold the government hostage and openly admit to using American families as leverage for their political agenda, I am committed to fighting for hardworking American families and getting back to work in Washington.”
