And the winner is, Korbin Jastrow. The Central High School senior, is the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition in Texas's 11th Congressional District.  This year's theme was "Texas to Me."

In her submission, Jastrow wrote, "the cow was drawn with pencil, then stamped with homemade stamps representing the Indian paintbrush and bluebonnets. The background was done with acrylic paint, and the shadows behind the cow were done with tissue paper."

Congressman August Pfluger, who represents the 11th District, wrote in part, "it's a great combination of multiple parts of the district - embodying the rugged, agriculture-centric spirit of West Texas and the lush, colorful brightness of the Texas Hill Country, both of which I am honored to represent."

Jastrow's artwork will be displayed for all to see, inside the U.S. Capitol building for the next year.
