Welcome back to the weekly Pfluger Fly-By, a collection of events and happenings to keep you updated on everything I am doing week by week to represent you in Congress.
It was an exciting time to be back in Texas-11 and attend the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo! This week, I also co-authored an op-ed on making the Trump Tax Cuts permanent, appeared on Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street on Fox News Business, and our office had the honor of presenting flags to veterans on the Permian Basin Honor Flight. As the summer months approach, be sure to contact my office to book your U.S. Capitol Tour and more if you are visiting Washington, D.C.
I have included some photos and highlights from the week. You can also find information on how my office can help you with any federal problems you may be having. As always, please do not hesitate to contact my office if we can ever be of assistance.
Best,
My Thoughts on Democrat Trips to El Salvador
Americans should not have their hard-earned tax dollars paying for an all-expenses-paid trip to import criminal illegal aliens back into our communities. Members of Congress who are rushing to El Salvador to retrieve an international gang-affiliated member, yet show zero urgency in meeting with Rachel Morinās family or addressing the devastation from the Biden border crisis, have their priorities completely misaligned. This isnāt just failed leadershipāitās a complete abandonment of their duty to protect American citizens. While Democrats are fighting on behalf of illegal criminals on your dime, Republicans will continue to fight for the safety of American citizens.
2025 San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo
Our family had a great time at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo this past weekend! Thank you to the Cowboy Channel for having me on air to talk about the rich history of rodeo and the dedicated competitors.
It was also astounding to witness the San Angelo Stock Show Premium Sale break its record of $1.25 million in sales that go directly to our 4-H and FFA students across Texas. It's always a great time to be back in Texas-11!
ICYMI: Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street
I joined Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street to discuss my recent visit to Midland, where I hosted Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak and EPA Region 6 Administrator Scott Mason to show them the importance of the Permian Basin. Thank you to Diamondback Energy for giving us a phenomenal tour!
During the interview, we also discussed the need for Congress to extend President Trump's tax cuts and the Administration's decision to authorize the U.S. military to take control of over 110,000 acres across the southern border.

Codifying the Trump Tax Cuts into Law
This week, I joined my colleague Congressman Randy Feenstra (R-IA) in penning an op-ed in the National Review to emphasize the urgency of making President Trump's 2017 tax cuts permanent.
Extending President Trump's tax cuts is the Super Bowl of legislative action. It is a legacy-making piece of legislation and probably the most important legislation we will pass in 40-50 years to prevent the largest tax hike in U.S. history.

Permian Basin Honor Flight in Washington
Our office was honored to join the Permian Basin Honor Flight during their time in our Nation's Capital this week. Through the Honor Flight program, these heroes have the opportunity to visit the memorials built in their honor āa moving experience that brings closure, healing, and recognition.
We had the pleasure of presenting flags flown over the U.S. Capitol to veterans on the Permian Basin Honor Flight in recognition of their service to our great country.

Book Summer Capitol Tours!
If you are visiting Washington, D.C. this summer, my office would be thrilled to book a tour of the U.S. Capitol building for you and your group. My office can also assist in requesting White House tours and tours of other iconic buildings around DC.
Internship applications for the White House are open, and I strongly encourage any eligible student or young professional in TX-11 interested in civic service, government, or public policy to apply.
Interning at the White House under President Trump's Administration is not only an incredible way for students or young professionals to bolster their resumes, but it is also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of shaping history. If you or someone you know is interested, I encourage you to apply today!
The application deadline to intern for the fall of 2025 is June 4, 2025.
