Pfluger Fly-By: April 18, 2025

April 18, 2025

Friend,

Welcome back to the weekly Pfluger Fly-By, a collection of events and happenings to keep you updated on everything I am doing week by week to represent you in Congress.

After a few busy weeks in Washington, I was thrilled to be back in Texas-11. This week, I hosted the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Scott Mason and Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota in the Permian Basin, delivered a keynote address at this year's Landmen's Executive Night put on by the Permian Basin Landmen's Association, participated in a roundtable with local leaders in San Angelo, visited the Children's Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas, and much more.

As we enter Easter weekend, I encourage us all to reflect on the many blessings in our lives and that we live in the greatest country on earth. Wishing you and your family a blessed Good Friday and a Happy Easter! He is Risen!

I have included some photos and highlights from the week. You can also find information on how my office can help you with any federal problems you may be having. As always, please do not hesitate to contact my office if we can ever be of assistance.

Best,

Energy Site Visit in the Permian Basin

I was honored to host U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Scott Mason and Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak of North Dakota in the Permian Basin this week.

To start the day, Diamondback Energy hosted us for a tour of one of their production facilities to showcase the dedication and effort required to produce American energy. On the tour, we also observed a demonstration by ChampionX to highlight Diamondback's advanced emissions monitoring system.

After the visit, we participated in a roundtable with producers, stakeholders, local leaders, and other EPA officials to discuss how the Trump administration, Congress, and individuals in the industry can work with the EPA, instead of against it as it was with the previous administration, to implement smart, commonsense policies that protect our environment while fostering energy production. The Permian Basin leads the world in energy production, and it was an honor to show them what the region is all about.

I thank Regional Administrator Mason and my good friend Congresswoman Fedorchak for visiting West Texas.

Children's Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas

I had the opportunity to visit the Children's Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas, Inc. in San Angelo this week to see the services they provide firsthand, and gain perspective on the incredible work they are doing for children across Texas-11. As we recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month, we must ensure every child grows up in a safe and nurturing environment.

I am extremely grateful for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas and all they do to support children and families going through heartbreaking circumstances. To learn more about the center's services and story, visit their website here.

Local Leaders Roundtable in San Angelo

This week, I also had a fantastic roundtable meeting with local leaders in San Angelo. During the roundtable, we discussed various community initiatives and opportunities for partnership. We are so blessed to have such a plethora of local leaders in San Angelo, and across the entire district, who are bettering our communities every day. I am proud to work alongside them to keep delivering wins to Texas-11!

Keynote Speech at the Landmen's Executive Night

I was honored to be invited by the Permian Basin Landmen's Association (PBLA) to be the keynote speaker at this year's Landmen's Executive Night in Midland—the city that anchors the most important region equipped and ready to solve many of the critical issues facing our nation.

As our country faces many threats from cyberattacks to threats from Russia, China, and more, it is more important than ever to bolster our energy dominance, and landmen play a vital role in that. The Permian Basin is the geopolitical tool our nation needs, and with President Trump back in office, the energy industry will finally be utilized and treated as such.

I am blessed to represent the best district in Congress and the incredible men and women who make the Permian Basin the energy capital of the world. Thank you to the PBLA for the wonderful opportunity to speak to your association.

Congress Must Make the Trump Tax Cuts Permanent

I penned an op-ed in Fox News this week with my good friend and fellow Texan Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne (TX-26), urging Congress to make President Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent. If this provision expires, Americans could face the largest tax hike in history, and specifically in Texas, families could face a 23% tax hike. We cannot let that happen.

As your elected representative, I am committed to ensuring hardworking families keep more of what they rightfully earned. It's time to lock in these historic tax cuts for the American people

Message on Good Friday

1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."

Today is a somber day. It is a day that we should reflect on the overwhelming grace we have received through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross. Praise God that He sent His innocent Son to bear the sins of the world so that we could have the opportunity to be reunited with Him in Heaven one day.

As we step into Easter Weekend and Resurrection Sunday, I pray everyone has a joyous and safe weekend spent with family and loved ones. I encourage you to reflect on the insurmountable blessings we have received through God and His never-ending love for us. Rest in knowing He is in control of our lives, and hold on to the hope of Jesus in these uncertain times.

However you choose to celebrate this Easter season, I hope you will join me in lifting up our communities, state, and nation in prayer as we thank God for sending His only Son to live, die, and rise again for us.
