Pfluger Votes to Save Taxpayer Dollars and Invest in America's Future

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) released the following statement after voting in favor of the House FY25 Budget Resolution. "President Trump was clear: Congress must pass a comprehensive bill to implement the full America First agenda that the American people voted for in November. Today, House Republicans answered that call by passing the FY25 Budget Resolution, and I proudly voted in favor of it. We all want the same things: secure borders and communities, energy independence, lower taxes, government efficiency, and a thriving economy. With the passage of this critical legislation today, we have taken the first step toward delivering these solutions. For too long, we have continued to feed the beast by pumping billions of taxpayer dollars into arbitrary federal agencies and programs." "House Republicans are restoring sanity to the federal government by passing a budget framework that will promote efficiency and address the root causes of our irresponsible and unacceptable deficit. With this framework, Congress will have the tools and guidelines necessary to save taxpayer dollars and invest in the future of America. I applaud Speaker Johnson and Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington for their tremendous leadership on the budget resolution and setting up the Trump agenda for success." |
