Camille and I are humbled to continue serving you and this great district in the 119th Congress. It is the honor of a lifetime and a responsibility we do not take lightly. Texas-11 is home to the best communities of kind, honest, and dedicated people. Thank you for trusting me and my family to take the values of our district and stand up for our Texas way of life in Washington.
The 119th Congress will be lasered-focused on delivering wins the American people demand: a secure border, energy dominance, and a strong economy. Americans have spoken loud and clear electing President Trump to the White House.
I am excited continue my work on behalf of this district and to give a voice to our values and our critical industries. If you have a question, idea, or concern, please reach out to me by clicking here.
I sat down with CBS7 to discuss what I am looking forward to in the next four years. Watch the full interview here or below.
Honoring Our Veterans
As we approach Veterans Day, let us honor the sacrifice and commitment of the brave Americans who raised their hand to serve our country.
Veterans represent the best of America, and we owe all of our military heroes a debt of gratitude that can never truly be repaid. I believe healing our country starts with these military heroes who know what it is like to serve alongside women and men from various backgrounds and with different viewpoints. At the end of the day, we are Americans first.
In Congress, I am committed to ensuring that our government fulfills its duty to provide the support and care that Veterans deserve. Whether it be improving healthcare services, expanding educational opportunities, or securing employment resources, I will continue to advocate for policies that honor your service and address the unique challenges faced by our Veteran community.
Join me in thanking all of the Veterans in Texas-11 for their service, sacrifice, and enduring commitment to the values that make our country great.
If you are a Veteran or know one who is having trouble accessing their benefits or care, please reach out to my office or fill out a casework request here.
Preventing the Biden-Harris Administration from Destroying Documents
During the Presidential Transition, I will be working to ensure sensitive Biden-Harris Administration documents and records are protected in accordance with guidelines set by the National Archives and Record Administration (NARA).
Any individual in the federal ranks who destroys records to conceal information from the newly elected administration should face consequences.
I also recently introduced legislation to train the workforce and levy penalties on any federal bureaucrat who attempts to resist or subvert the will of the duly elected President of the United States.
The American people spoke loud and clear. We must ensure federal employees who brazenly resisted the Trump Administration previously accept the results of the election and conduct themselves as non-partisan civil servants under a second Trump presidency.
Military Spouse Hiring Practices
I led a letter to the Defense Health Agency questioning hiring practices Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, a U.S. Defense Department Hospital located in Germany. There have been numerous reports of the hospital denying employment to qualified medical professionals who are military spouses.
Instead of being hired, military spouses are directed to volunteer for the American Red Cross and fulfill the duties or obligations of a paid full-time employee. We must ensure that qualified military spouses are not denied opportunities to serve in overseas medical facilities while providing for their families.
I will always stand up for our service members and heroic military families.
