100th Bill Introduced: STRAFE Act

I am proud to announce the introduction of my 100th piece of legislation on behalf of the 11th Congressional District of Texas: the Stop Resistance Activities by Federal Employees (STRAFE) Act, a bill designed to prevent career federal bureaucrats from actively resisting the directives and policies of a presidential administration.

Career unelected bureaucrats cannot be allowed to undermine the agenda of any future President. We must ensure that the network of federal employees that brazenly carried out resistance activities under the first Trump Administration is not unleashed again. Read more about the bill in the Washington Reporter here or below.

Supreme Court Orders Virginia Noncitizens to be Purged from Voter Rolls

On October 11, the Biden Administration’s U.S. Department of Justice sued the State of Virginia for removing individuals who self-identified as noncitizens from the State’s voter rolls. After a back and forth in the court system, the United States Supreme Court weighed in this week and ruled that Virginia can remove these noncitizens. This ruling is a huge win for the integrity of our election system as we approach the November 5th election.

I was proud to support the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility(SAVE)Act, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives in July. This legislative fix requires proof of citizenship for voter registration nationwide and empowers states to clean up their voter rolls.

Noncitizen voting should not be a partisan issue. Only American citizens have the right to vote in the United States of America. I will continue standing for free and fair elections.

Permian Basin is the Powerhouse for U.S. Energy Production

The Biden-Harris Administration has used every tool in their arsenal to attack American energy production across the country. From my first day in Congress, I have led the fight to protect producers in the Permian Basin and restore American energy dominance.

I am proud to that the U.S. House of Representatives passed my legislation to reverse the Administration's pause on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports and repeal the natural gas tax.

It is an honor to support of the hardworking men and women of the energy industry who work to lower emissions while fueling our country and allies abroad. Read more in the Odessa American about the support from the Permian Basin for my efforts in exposing the Department of Energy's flawed decision to block American LNG exports.

Texas General Land Office Continued Service Series

I was honored to be featured in the Texas General Land Office's Continued Service Series detailing my service in the United States Air Force. Every individual who wears the uniform joins me in having a shared sense of pride and love for this country. Thank you to Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham for highlighting our Veterans. U.S. House Committee on Education Releases College Antisemitism Report

The U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce led by Chair Virginia Foxx released a shocking report detailing how university officials put the demands of terrorist sympathizers over the safety of Jewish students, faculty, and staff.

The images and videos that surfaced on college campuses were alarming. I led the charge to revoke Visas and block federal student aid for students accused of rioting or assaulting police officers. America welcomes those who contribute positively, not those who bring chaos or violence. Read the full report here.

Biden-Harris Pushing Plant Sources of Protein Over Red Meat

A dietary health committee formed by the Biden-Harris Administration tasked with overseeing what Americans consume concluded the country should move away from eating various forms of animal-based protein. This radical decision is detrimental to the thousands of farmers and ranchers who work tirelessly to feed and clothe the world.

It is imperative that Congress pass a strong Farm Bill to support agricultural producers. I joined my colleagues in writing a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson urging him to put the2024 Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2024, most commonly known as the Farm Bill, on the U.S. House Floor for a vote.
