President Biden's Plan to Reshape the U.S. Supreme Court
President Biden announced his radical proposal to overhaul the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). This quest for power is meant to benefit Congressional Democrats and the Biden-Harris Administration beset with court defeats after numerous unconstitutional actions.
I am a proud cosponsor of Congressman Dusty Johnson's legislation 'Keep the Nine' — that proposes a constitutional amendment to limit the Supreme Court to nine justices and avoid court packing. Turning the highest court in our country into a political game will erode public trust in our institutions. The proposed measures by President Biden to reshape the Supreme Court are dead on arrival in the U.S. House and will not pass a Republican Congress.
Bipartisan Call to Reverse LNG Export Ban
In January, the Biden-Harris Administration announced an indefinite ban on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, placing our national security and economic prosperity at risk. The Administration has used every weapon and tool available to make producing American energy more difficult.
It’s time for the Biden-Harris attacks on American energy to end. This week I joined Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) and other members of the House Energy Export Caucus this week in a bipartisan effort demanding the Biden-Harris Department of Energy (DOE) reverse the LNG export ban.
American energy is the cleanest, most secure option for the U.S. and our allies. Energy security will always be national security. Read more in Fox News here.
The Biden-Harris Administration Wants Men in Women’s Sports
Yesterday, female Olympic athlete Angela Carini bowed out of her boxing match against Algeria's Imane Khelif after 46 seconds. Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing a gender eligibility test.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris support men competing against women in sports. In fact, the Biden-Harris rewrite of Title IX went into effect yesterday—the same day as this disastrous boxing match.
Beginning August 1st, not only will girls and women be forced to compete against biological males—but men will have full access to women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing spaces if they declare they are a woman, and coaches and employees could be violating federal law if they do not comply with preferred pronouns.
As a father of three daughters, I am pleading with Americans to stand with me against this dangerous nonsense.
20th Annual West Texas Legislative Summit
I was glad to be joined by fellow West Texans to kick off the 20th Annual West Texas Legislative Summit (WTLS) in San Angelo earlier this week. The West Texas Legislative Summit is an incredible event that brings together hundreds of elected officials and business professionals and provides a forum for West Texas community representatives to spend a day addressing our legislative priorities. We have incredible leadership at the local and state levels advocating for the betterment of our communities and spurring positive change each day.
Thank you to State Representative Drew Darby and State Senator Charles Perry for co-hosting the WTLS this year. I enjoyed seeing many leaders in our communities, including State Senator Kevin Sparks.
We Should Not Negotiate with Terrorists
I am appalled that the Biden-Harris Administration granted a plea deal to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks that killed thousands of Americans. This monster deserves the death penalty. This administration knows nothing but weakness. What a betrayal of all the families of the victims.
National Debt Surpasses $35 Trillion
The U.S. National Debt this week surpassed $35 trillion, an alarming milestone for the fiscal health of our country. In one year, the national debt has increased by $2.35 trillion and is only continuing to go up. For the last three and a half years, the Biden-Harris Administration has gone on a spending spree in Washington. Future generations will be forced to shoulder this debt they did not accumulate. A Republican Congress and White House are needed now more than ever to rein in federal spending. Read more here about the national debt.
