On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced he is not running for re-election. For the last several years, Democrats have perpetrated a fraud against the American people. We were called liars and exaggerators and accused of producing “cheap fakes” when we questioned the mental fitness of the Commander-in-Chief. We have been vindicated.
Complicit in this fraud are Congressional Democrats and party leaders who are now discarding the 14 million votes in this year’s Democratic primaries. If President Biden is not fit to run for President, he cannot be President. He should resign immediately.
Israeli Prime Minister Addresses Congress
It was an honor to attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Joint Address to Congress. I will always support Israel's right to defend itself.
Democrats, including Vice President Harris, did not attend Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech while thousands of anti-Israel protesters descended on Washington, D.C. and burned an American flag just a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol. This act was disgraceful and disrespectful. The U.S. should not be pandering to terrorists or those who support them.
Israel is our only democratic ally in the Middle East and an important strategic partner for U.S. national security. We need to stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends and communities. Thank you to Brayden Byrne of Odessa, who is interning in Washington, D.C. for the Heritage Foundation, for giving our office a piece of the burned American flag at Union Station that he recovered.
Examining the Attempted Assassination of President Trump
As a member of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, I participated in a hearing of law enforcement officials who testified about the utter security failure to protect President Trump earlier this month.
After an unacceptable performance testifying before Congress this week, U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned due to a strong bipartisan calls in Congress. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries are currently in the process of assembling a bipartisan task force with subpoena power to get answers for the American people.

Condemning "Border Czar" Vice President Kamala Harris
In early 2021, President Joe Biden tasked Vice President Kamala Harris with addressing the root causes of migration as the White House’s "border czar."
By all metrics, the Biden Administration and Border Czar Vice President Kamala Harris have failed to secure the southern border. This week, the House passed H. Res. 1371, introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik, that condemns the Biden Administration and Border Czar Kamala Harris for their failure to secure the U.S. southern border, resulting in the worst border crisis in American history.
Over 9 million illegal aliens, including 370+ known and suspected terrorists, have crossed our border under the watch of this Administration. Fifty migrants with ties to ISIS are currently roaming the country. The American people deserve accountability for the border crisis.

Summer Interns Wrap-Up in Washington and Texas-11
As the summer winds down, I wanted to say a special thank you to our interns in the Washington, D.C., San Angelo, Midland, and Killeen offices who have been working to serve Texas-11. I thank them all for their dedication, passion, and work ethic to assist our office. Young students like these are the future of our workforce.

Olympian in Paris from Texas-11
As the 2024 Olympic Games begin today in Paris, I want to wish Team USA the best of luck and specifically Bryce Hoppel of Midland who is running for Team USA in the 800-meter race!
The first round of the Men’s 800-meter race will be August 7th at 4:55 am (CDT), semi-finals will be run August 8th at 4:30 am (CDT), and finals we be run on Saturday, August 11th at 12:25 p.m. (CDT).
Hoppel set the Olympic Trial record with a time of 1:42:77 three weeks ago.
We wish him the best of luck as we cheer on our West Texas athlete on the world stage!

2024 Congressional App Challenge
My office is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional App Competition. The competition is open to all 6-12 grade students in the 11th Congressional District of Texas and is an opportunity for students to develop their skills in computer science and STEM.
The deadline is October 24th, 2024 at 12:00 pm ET. Students can register and upload their app here.
PRIZES
The winner from the 11th Congressional District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will be featured on the House of Representatives website, House.gov, as well as on CongressionalAppChallenge.us. The winning app will also be displayed in the U.S. Capitol among other winners from across the country. Additional sponsor prizes to be announced.
RULES
· Students will create an application (aka app) for PC, web, tablet, robot, mobile, etc Any programming such as C, C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or "block code" will be accepted.
· There are NO LIMITS on the application theme or topic.
· Students may work individually or in teams made up of no more than four.
