WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) Chairman of the U.S. Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, is working to root out political bias within the U.S. intelligence community. Congressman Pfluger sent a letter with House Homeland Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas decrying the department’s rebranding of the partisan "Homeland Security Experts Group" to the "Homeland Intelligence Advisory Board.” Rep. Pfluger released the following statement after the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released a report uncovering clear evidence that 51 former government officials, including CIA employees, conspired to influence the 2020 presidential election by falsely claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. "Instead of securing our southern border, which has become a gateway for ISIS-linked migrants, DHS is more concerned with appointing individuals like James Clapper and John Brennan to a partisan advisory board," said Congressman Pfluger. "These men perpetuated a Russian hoax to the American people and have no grounds to advise on matters of national security." “House Republicans have exposed that 51 intelligence officials conspired with the Biden campaign to discredit the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop just weeks before the 2020 election. All 51 deserve to have their security clearances stripped. I am proud to work towards restoring accountability and transparency in our government.” You can read more in the Daily Caller here |
