August Pfluger (R-TX), and RSC Chairman Kevin Hern (R-OK) released the following statement the Biden Administration announced plans to release 1 million barrels of gasoline from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in a politically-motivated move:

“The Biden administration has put Americans last with his failed energy policies. President Biden treats the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as a political toy, not a serious national security tool. If the President truly wants to ease Americans’ pain at the pump, he should abandon his Green New Deal-style energy agenda and allow American producers to provide affordable, reliable, and secure energy for our country and our allies."
