Today, Congressional Moldova Caucus Co-Chairs, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) and Congressman David Price (NC-04), introduced a resolution expressing support for Moldova’s democracy, independence, and territorial integrity and strengthening U.S.-Moldova relations. It is a critical time to reinforce this important relationship as Moldova works to bolster its young democracy, counter Russian influence, and chart its own path forward.

“As Russia continues to take antagonistic actions against our allies and partners, Moldova will play a valuable role in strengthening transatlantic security,” said Rep. Pfluger. “It is more imperative than ever to strengthen US-Moldova relations and cooperation to advance democratic values and support their ascension into Western institutions.”

“The Moldovan people spoke loudly at the ballot box, giving Moldova a mandate to implement crucial governance and economic reforms to strengthen its democracy,” said Rep. Price. “At this historic moment, it's important for the United States to not only celebrate U.S.-Moldovan relations, but also support dialogue, cooperation, and engagement between our two countries.”
